The LEGO Vikings theme is based on the ancient Scandinavian warriors known as Vikings. Released in 2005 and later discontinued in 2007, Vikings featured seven sets in total. Each set in the theme was based around a storyline that featured warriors battling creatures, typically based on Norse mythology. These creatures were constructed in a BIONICLE-like style that contrasted with the minifigure Vikings that battled them.
