“The set is a very small and compact robot that includes a yellow Futuron astronaut. The astronaut can sit inside the "head" of the robot and steer it with two control sicks. The canopy where the astronaut sits is a trans blue octagon like the ones in the Sea Sprint 9 and... More Saucer Scout. One of the few cons of this set is that the cockpit is open on the sides and in front.”

About Space Futuron

Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme released between 1987 and 1989 whose storyline featuresd a group of civilian space explorers that competed against the astronauts from Blacktron. Futuron was the next generation of Classic Space inheriting its white-and-blue color scheme and the same logo. Futuron sets comprised two large ground-based installations, the Monorail Transport System and various spacecrafts, ground vehicles and rovers.

Futuron consists of 18 sets that ran from 1987 to 1989. As of today, 6990 Monorail Transport System is the most valuable Futuron set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $2,507.
