Ferrari, 1997 — “This set was released as a promo of the Shell petrol. The set is basically a ferrari formula 1 racing car in a medium size and Lego System style. The building is good, with some useful pieces like the red plates as the base of the car, too useful are the encurved red pieces,... More the blocks with original shape or also the white wheels, too used in some old technic sets.”

“The completed model is of the Ferrari F310b Formula I race car. It is roughly 13" (41 studs) long and the body is around 5" wide (16 studs) at its widest point. In fact, it is about the same size as the Technic set 8440 Formula Flash. Like the 8440, it seems scaled to match... More the jointed Technic Figures. However, being a Model Team set, it is far more detailed than the 8440, featuring realistic appearance over mechanics.”

About Model Team

The LEGO Model Team theme introduced in 1986 included larger scale vehicle models with more attention to details, such as steering and drive functionality as well as visual realism of the vehicles. Model Team was discontinued after 1999 and replaced by the Creator theme.
