Unfortunately we don't have accurate retail and value pricing for all sets released in 1953. Most sets during this time period were extremely limited in both production and distribution with distribution primarily in Denmark as well as some in neighboring countries such as Sweden and Norway.

1953 LEGO Sets
In 1953, the Automatic Binding Bricks released in the previous years were renamed to LEGO Mursten, which is translated to 'LEGO Bricks'. Starting in 1953, LEGO sets went on sale outside of Denmark in Norway then Sweden. As far as set production, this year saw the release of the first LEGO baseplates and 1x1, 1x2 and 2x3 bricks were introduced. Also, the name LEGO was printed inside all bricks, prior to this the bricks were just plain plastic. In 1953, we saw a few new 700 series supplemental sets released and the previous 700 sets from the previous years were also still available for sale.
In addition to the 700 Gift Sets, LEGO also began to market the first supplementary sets, such as the 700-B Vinduer og Døre, Windows and doors, and the 700-C Vinduer og Døre, Med Glas.
