“This ship is just dwarfed by all other ships and seems bad. It has some nice features, and the bad ones can be easily modded. I would recommend this to Pirate fans with a smaller budget, because this is one of the smaller "actual" ships. I think the cute little ship just... More needs some love.”

“The color coordination of the Cross Bone Clipper is an interesting black, green and red with highlights in yellow, which I think works well, but there isn't a lot more I could add to the description of this small ship. I find it a little expensive for a set whose only... More redeeming features are two new boat sections.”

In The Mysterious Sea Monster... No Match for the Maniac, it is revealed that Captain Redbeard ended up sinking the Cross Bone Clipper. Diver Dan and Scuba Sandy salvage the treasure from the shipwreck, but Barracuda steals the treasure chest in his Aqua Dozer, so the LEGO Maniac combines the Cross Bone Clipper's mast with the Sting Ray Explorer in order to catch Barracuda.
