“This is definitely a good looking truck, and I love the colours. I could not find any images of the real life truck it is supposed to represent though, so am not sure if they are real colours or not. The new very small fairing panels are neat and will allow for some great... More looking MOCs and more detailed panelling in the future.”

“42008 will never be called pretty, exactly, but it looks… purposeful. There's a fairly minimal amount of detail around the cab, but there's enough. The doors open to reveal the usual pair of angled-liftarm seats and a rudimentary dashboard and (unconnected) steering wheel.... More As for the colour, it's certainly striking… I don't usually apply stickers to my sets, but with this it's very necessary; and they do successfully break up what is a big slab of green without them.”

About Technic

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
