This Holiday Jet set was a promotional release in 2003 that was available to buy on-board SAS aircraft during a flight. This version had a sticker set unique to the SAS which was located in a sealed clear plastic pouch on the back of the box. The sets contains 149 pieces including three minifigs. LEGO produced special versions for other airlines including SAS, El Al, Iberia, JAL, Lauda, ANA, Swiss, Snowflake, Austrian, KLM, Malaysian Air and Aeroflot.

The current value for a new and sealed Holiday Jet SAS is estimated around $452 today with current average yearly gain of about 14% but will level off in the next year closer to a 10% annual growth making it a solid investment. On the open market, a used set will fetch in the range of between $69 and $84 depending on the condition.

About World City Holiday Jets

The 2003 World City Holiday Jets subtheme comprised of 13 sets which included the LEGO Air and 12 other sets based on this model that were specifically branded for various commercial airlines such as SAS, ANA, SWISS, Austrian Air, KLM and many others. The difference between the various airline sets were the sticker packs that were included being specific to that carrier.

Holiday Jets was introduced in 2003 and currently consists of 13 sets. As of today, 4032-9 Holiday Jet Snowflake is the most valuable Holiday Jets set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $990.
