LEGO 200-4 Town Plan Board was a System i Leg set released in 1959. It is the Continental European cardboard version. It simply consists of the rare cardboard town board.
Town Plan Board is an extremely old and very rare LEGO set. We have not seen set 200-4 currently for sale online or in the hundreds of retail stores in good/new condition in over 1,193 days. Because of the rarity of this hard to find set the current estimated value of $740.68 might actually be much lower than the true value, assuming this set can be found for sale.Because Town Plan Board is a very old set from 1959, finding it in a sealed and good condition might be difficult thus making the true value even that much higher.

“The Lego Town Plan Set baseboard went though at least two major designs. It also originally had patterned grassed areas between the roads, that one could choose to build Lego buildings on. At some point, Lego seem to have decided that this wasn't acceptable, and started... More putting rectangles onto most of the vacant lots, patterned with shadowed circles to represent Lego studs. This was presumably to make the board look slightly unfinished.”

About System i Leg Town Plan

LEGO Town Plan was a theme introduced in 1958 and lasted until 1966 and was under the System i Leg (System of Play) theme. The theme was unveiled at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in February 1955. LEGO Town Plan originally consisted of the existing 700 series LEGO Mursten sets, several new HO 1:87 scale accessories, and a vinyl play mat. However, over the next several years the system was expanded with both new building sets.

Town Plan consists of 30 sets that ran from 1955 to 1959. As of today, 1308 Fire Station is the most valuable Town Plan set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $5,482.
