These sets provide a good 1-2 hours of fun, with a ready-made room decor model once completed if so desired. Lego also does an excellent job is providing backstory and relevant information about the subject model in its manual.
Thank you LEGO for producing this set. As a father with a young daughter, this set really drives home the importance of believing that our daughters can be and do anything they want. I know I will be setting this LEGO set aside for my daughter for when she comes of age.
Additionally, this will be a classic set for any LEGO collector... this set will no doubt become a hit item once it retires and is no longer available. Get it now while you can because if the past is any indication of the future, there's the possibility of this LEGO Ideas set disappearing from stores quickly.
Also, be sure to pick up the Women of NASA Space Heroes book... you’ll love the two combined: DK Readers L1: LEGO® Women of NASA: Space Heroes
Happy bricking!

Happy bricking!
I have literally never actually owned a set of Legos in my life (my brother got all the good toys when we were kids) and am SO EXCITED to get this and gift as many as I can get! As a woman of NASA myself, I will proudly be displaying this in my cube. My only sore disappointment is the sad exclusion of Katharine Johnson from the set due to "inability to ascertain permission" - I haven't been able to get a clear answer as to what entity is withholding permission? I dearly hope it is the legend herself and not the movie studio - for shame if so. I wish they could have added in another woman (there are so many great ones to choose from). Well, maybe there will be a Women of NASA 2!
Although the manufacturers recommended ages are 10 and up, I think an 8 year old would be fine with it. We are experienced builders and have Lego sets of all age ranges and abilities.
Definitely a Lego Set to be displayed or enjoyed. As a personal favorite, this one will be displayed in our home. I may have to buy a second one for play!

Sets are not on individual plastic bags though. It’s an all or nothing build. Still, great fun putting together.
Un sympathique petit morceau d’histoire.
