The footprint for the set is a little small, but they pack a lot of bricks into the area. For those who are familiar with the Architecture series... yes there a lot of small pieces to put together. Small white tiles, and small trans-medium blue plates make up a good portion of this set. However, the build process was fun, and there are a couple spots with some more advanced techniques - including some welcome SNOT (studs not on top) building.
I built and disassembled the set twice, and I'll probably build it one more time before relegating the parts to my bins. This was a fun build and got me back into Lego after a Dark Age!
The Lego Architecture Series is thus enhanced with this fine replica. The construction of this building was rather easy, though at times one had to look closely at the placement of the bricks. Take caution and do not rush as you must look as to what direction the bricks are placed. I found myself on two occasions, while in haste, placing the bricks north and south when they should have been place east and west. It is a hassle deconstructing and rebuilding. Haste makes waste.
Another complication was that about half way through the construction I was missing a piece and had to stop building. As an old pro at this problem, I went onto lego.com and ordered the missing part at no charge. One week later construction started again, and I must say it is a handsome addition to my Architecture Series collection.
If I would change anything, it would be the flagpoles. They are hinged, for some reason, so they rotated up to ~180 degrees. Getting them to all be perfectly straight is a challenge. I'm not sure why Lego didn't make them a perfectly straight, solid piece. It seems to me that these may have been a piece used for another item as something else and have been repurposed as flagpoles.
