Futuron was a LEGO Space subtheme released between 1987 and 1989 whose storyline featuresd a group of civilian space explorers that competed against the astronauts from Blacktron. Futuron was the next generation of Classic Space inheriting its white-and-blue color scheme and the same logo. Futuron sets comprised two large ground-based installations, the Monorail Transport System and various spacecrafts, ground vehicles and rovers.
