“This Universal Set from the Lego Technic series belongs, in my opinion, among the best universal sets. Firstly, six models can be built according to the manual; secondly, the models are quite sophisticated and make fun during constructing. The special thing about this set is... More that it was delivered in a plastic sorting box instead of a cardboard box. Furthermore, I find it remarkable that the set offers the opportunity to build model with figures from it (rowers, ice hockey players and a draisine). All in all, an absolute must in every collection. I built what I consider to be the best model and rated it accordingly. In the overall rating it gets five stars.”

About Technic Universal

Universal is a subtheme of Technic that consists of 19 sets that as of now ran from 1982 to 1994. As of today, 8094 Control Centre is the most valuable set in Technic Universal with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $769.78.

TECHNIC is one of The LEGO Company's main lines based on creating detailed model machines and mechanical toys with specialized beams, axles, gears and connectors and primarily designed for older children and adults. The theme was first introduced as the Expert Builder series in 1977, but was officially renamed as TECHNIC in 1984. TECHNIC is still an active theme, and is one of the longest running themes in LEGO history. While most TECHNIC sets are vehicles that use pieces to mimic real vehicles, such as engine pieces, suspension, pneumatic, and transmission pieces, the TECHNIC parts have been used by various other System themes as well as LEGO Mindstorms.
