Scala is a theme that started in the late 1970s then again the late 1990 that primarily targeted at younger girls. The earlier Scala sets where a series of jewelry and beauty accessories built out of LEGO bricks, usually plates. However, in the second wave the Scala theme shifted focus to doll-like Scala Figures, their homes and interests and contained sets that included doll house like features and Scala Figure accessories such as doll clothing.

Scala Emma's Chill-Out Kitchen set 3123 was released in September 2001, retailing for $20, but has since been retired. New, unopened Emma's Chill-Out Kitchen sets are valued at $92, while used sets can be found for $76 in good condition.
