These were the first of the Ninjago themed sets and based on the pilot episodes which were the first installments in the Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu series. Through the LEGO sets, we are introduced to the four original ninja Kai, Jay, Cole, and Zane, Nya, Sensei Wu, and Lord Garmadon. In a number of waves, sets depicted dragons, Skulkin vehicles, battlegrounds and spinners depicting the ninja in both their trainee and DX variants and their elemental powers which included Earth, Ice, Fire, and Lightning.
Pilot Season was introduced in 2011 and currently consists of 13 sets. As of today,
2505 Garmadon's Dark Fortress is the most valuable Pilot Season set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $423.
Summary
Ninjago Pilot Season Spinjitzu Dojo set 2504 was released on January 4, 2011, retailing for $50, it has since been retired. New, unopened sets are valued at $107, used ones can be found for $39.
