About Minecraft Minifig-scale

The LEGO Minecraft theme is based on the video game Minecraft and a collaboration between Mojang and the LEGO Group. Sets in this theme were all based on the traditional LEGO minifigure scale. Minecraft is a sandbox indie game originally created by Notch (Markus Persson) and later developed and published by Mojang / Microsoft. The official release occurred in 2013 with the first set, Minecraft: Micro World: The Forest, released under LEGO Ideas and was created by Mojang through the LEGO CUUSOO program in 2012. At MineCon 2013, LEGO announced brand new minifigure-scale Minecraft sets.

Minifig-scale was introduced in 2014 and currently consists of 79 sets. As of today, 21137 The Mountain Cave is the most valuable Minifig-scale set with an estimated new/factory sealed value of $1,809.

You’re running low on supplies that the Overworld just can’t offer… light the obsidian portal and step through to reach The Nether Fortress! This forbidding structure is protected by an array of hostile mobs. Help Alex defeat the Blaze that guards the fortress. Take your diamond pickaxe and mine glowstone to light your way, but be careful not to trigger a lava flow! Build an access point to breach the fortress wall, grab your diamond sword and spring a surprise attack on the Zombie Pigman. Take on the red-eyed, fireball-shooting Ghast to obtain the chest containing 2 diamonds and a golden sword, collect mushrooms and Nether wart, and mine Nether quartz ore. It’s all in a day’s work for a LEGO® Minecraft™ hero! Rebuild the set for more LEGO Minecraft creations!
